Well, I'm excited for a new game. I love all Pokemon no matter their shape size or similarity to odd objects. Heck, one of my absolute favorites from Gen 5 is Klinklang. I adored my big lovable Cog. <3
The new starters? I like 'em! Fennekin, of course, is the ultimate fan favorite. XD Because of that, I think I'll choose one of the other two when I get the game, which won't be for a while, since I'll probably be on my mission when it comes out. Oh well. I think Chespin is cute - it's like, a chipmunk with a chestnut husk hood. I think that's awfully cute. And Froakie? I figure he'll be the least popular, poor little fellow. But I think he's cute anyway. With the cloud/like bubble things around his neck, maybe we'll have the first half Ice starter, or maybe half-flying. A flying frog? That'd be pretty cool.
With the legendaries, I think they look awesome. The phoenix bird thing, is of course, a phoenix bird thing. And since we haven't had a true bird legendary in so long, why not? But I definitely love the deer guy. Oh heavens. He looks so much like the Forest God from Princess Mononoke.
Also, I usually rate Pokemon awesome-ness on how cool it would be to ride one. And both the phoenix and the deer get a strong 9 for me. (Raikou is a 10 - I mean, it's cloud is totally shaped like a saddle.)
Lots of folks will have their issues with the games and the characters and the new Pokemon, and that's okay. I just don't.
Also, I really hope we won't get as bad as the Star Wars fans, bless their hearts. We should be happy that the Pokemon world is expanding and growing, and won't be stopping any time soon. Because I still want more adventures with Pokemon. :3Alright, off the soap box now. Heh. I would go try and paint the new starters, but I feel sick today and have no motivation to paint. Bleerrgh.
...Just not another Fire/Fighting. That' my biggest fear when it comes to Fennekin's evolutions.
And I know everyone is going to be playing it, but honestly? I don't want to go out and spend MY money on a new system, and a game that i'm playing halfheartedly to keep up with the fandom.
And I thought the same thing when I saw the deer legendary!! I had to show my cousin a picture of the Forest God so he knew what I was talking about. lol
