We got to Nimbasa that evening and stayed the night at the Pokemon Center. The next morning, first thing, I went and caught Pokemon from the routes on either side of the city - a Mincinno and a Liepard. Then I sent them to Brandon, and he sent me my next three eggs.
I hadn't noticed, but Brandon reminded me - Christmas had snuck up on us. What a pleasant surprise!
So I took the three eggs and decided to hatch them all today, as a Christmas treat. We explored Nimbasa and trained a little. We checked out the amusement park, which was a lot of fun. Someone gave us a Sun Stone, too, which is great. I even pulled Leon from the ranch to train too.
That's when he met the new kids - including Belle. He seemed very interested in her. He was sarcastic and sneer-y, like normal, but to Belle, he was very kind and considerate. I thought it was interesting, and kind of cute. She thought he was funny.
So it was just Leon, Belle and Gilda with me when the new babies hatched.
The first to hatch was a little Purrloin kitten, a boy. I named him Quincy. Quincy was born with an incredible moveset too - Foul Play, Night Slash...but I had met Purrloins before, and I knew how fragile they were. I decided to postpone his training until a further date, or not at all. He's an Adamant Nature, likes to run, and I figured he'd enjoy roaming the ranch more than battling.
The next two hatched at nearly the exact moment, so I consider them the two twins. Which is hilarious, because the first to hatch was a baby Seviper, and the second, to my delight, was another puppy Growlithe. I named the Seviper Severus, and the puppy, I named Frodo. Severus is a calm and happy kid, Calm nature, sturdy body. He's a solid little guy, with a normal moveset of Wrap. And Frodo? He's a skittish little thing, yiping and hiding behind Severus. Timid nature, sturdy body. So he and Severus have that in common. They're quite the adorable pair of brothers, and Quincy considers himself the older brother, and the leader of the three. Frodo has one thing going for him - he hatched knowing Fire Blast.
Belle fell in love with all three, and they adore her. She's got quite the mother potential, indeed. She's sweet and gentle with them. Gilda, too, is a favorite of them. Quincy likes Leon, but Frodo is scared of him, and Severus is still on the fence. But around Belle, Leon is just as good with the kids.
I spent the day training Belle to level 35. I couldn't resist dressing up the babies for Christmas and snapping a photo. They're just too cute.
In the evening, I decided it was time to train the others. So I sent the three little ones to Brandon, and Kitt, Fang and Sonata came back onto the team. Marco decided to stay at the ranch for now. He likes looking after the little folks, and Frodo hero-worshipped him the moment they met. It makes me happy.
So, for now, I want to get everyone to level 35 at least, before I challenge the next gym. Elesa's gym. So it'll be Gilda who I'll train the most for it. My little Gligar is a little nervous, but she's excited too. As am I.

(Yeah, so these are the three Christmas babies. <3 Severus I think I'll train. Frodo I won't, because I have Marco. And I won't train Quincy just yet, since Purrloin and Liepard are so darn fragile... X'D Even with his amazing moveset, I don't want to risk him. Besides, I have Belle and Sonata for Dark Types.
Oh, and you know why I named the puppy Frodo? Because Marco is named after my dog in real life. We used to have two dogs. Our second dog was named Frodo, and he was like Marco's little brother. XD We don't have him any more, since in truth he was a show dog and we only sort of half owned him, and now he lives with the breeder who also owns him. He recently sired an adorable litter of puppies...anyway...
And we see that Leon is interested in Belle, don't we? Hmmm.
This'll be the last update for the next few days, since, of course, Christmas.
So Merry Christmas again, everyone! Love you all!)
The same, except that Belle is 35 now and knows Dragon Pulse instead of Bite.
