Lots of fun stuff in this page. :3

So we have Kai, the Dratini. I really wanted to make a Chuck-E-Cheese joke about the Game Corner, after my brother pointed out how similar they are in HG and SS...but alas, I didn't. I'm surprised no one else has yet. XD

I spent. Two hours. On my couch. Playing Voltorb Flip. To get Kai. I EARNED that Dratini! And my Dad IS an engineer, and he HAS taught me lots about statistics and stuff that is applicable in the Pokemon games. Like catching a Feebas? My Dad showed me a much easier way to. Based on statistics.
The Voltorb Flip game is more like a mix of Sudoku and Mine Sweeper. By the time I had gotten enough coins, I actually enjoyed the game. I'd gotten really good at it. XD

And then, while training, our little Mystery evolved. *sniff* Aww, he's not the team baby any more! He's growing up! :3
His mental age at this point is about twelve years old. Pokemon can age normally, although at a somewhat faster rate than humans, if they don't evolve. If they evolve, they jump up in their mental age, how old they act. Mystery was around five to eight as a Togepi, but is now 12, maybe even 14. Hence his sudden chance in language. XD Granite, on the other hand, was around eight when he first joined the team - he's now older-minded as well, although still as cheerful and cute as ever. He's just a bit better at stating his mind. Scout, for instance, when he evolved, jumped from 14 to around mid twenties. Lacy and Donovan did the same. Kindle too. Kai is the same age as Granite, and Mystery too, around 10-12. But Mystery will sometimes act a lot older than you'd think for a kid, since he has that Psychic side to himself. Psychics age quick and are very wise, even as kids.

So there's your lesson about Pokemon aging in my comic. XD

So yep! Next week...heh heh...you guys get to meet another new character. I'm excited. :)

Also, who can guess who the lady at the counter is? ;)

You mean naive? Yes, I did that on purpose, since the actual spelling involves having two dots over the "i", so just having one i looked weird.

Dratini was the Goldenrod catch, Cara was my catch for a different route but I exchanged her (so Miss took the place of the route before) and Sam I pretended I caught in Ecruteak since I didn't want to draw the comic going back and forth between Goldenrod and Ecruteak. XD
