NuzRooke Silver - Chapter 12 - Page 88 by DragonwolfRooke NuzRooke Silver - Chapter 12 - Page 88 by DragonwolfRooke
Previous:… ||

And thus ends NuzRooke.

It has been nearly two years since I started this comic, back in January of 2012, when I sat in my tiny college apartment and read nuzlocke comics for the first time. And I thought, "I bet I could do this."

I am so, so happy I was able to complete this project. Through NuzRooke, I have learned a lot, improved a lot, and I have met a lot of wonderful people through it. It was an experience I'll always cherish, even if it was just a silly little comic about Pokemon. :)

And I want to thank you, all of you, for reading it and enjoying it! Thank you so much! I truly appreciate all my fans and I am so grateful to them.

This may be where NuzRooke ends, but it certainly isn't the end for my stories. I have lots of ideas for comics in the future, not Pokemon ones, but original stories. And I can't wait to share them with you guys. And NuzRooke's story may be over, but it certainly isn't the end for Rooke and her Pokemon. No, there probably won't be any sequel comics, sorry to disappoint. But you can still ask the characters questions on my tumblr, and I'll still draw the characters from time to time. I'm rather fond of the whole bunch, so it's not the last you'll see of them. XD

Thank you so much, everyone, for all your comments, fanart, help, support, admiration and excitement.

Thank you, all of you. :)

The End

Oh my God. I read this today and can I just say it was... amazing. I laughed, I cried, I even couldn't hold back a smile. It was amazing to see you progress with this, and seeing your art improve greatly along the way. I love all of the characters, they're all just soo... spunky >w< I checked out some of your more recent art, and wow. I 'dunno what to say, this was an amazing comic and I hate that it has to end, but yet, the way you wrapped it up is so flawless. Keep up the amazing work ;u;

This is one of the best Nuzlocke comics I have ever read. Great Job!

I've not said a word the entire time I've read this. But now I will. stuck a cord with me. I really do love the characters, and...well, I won't deny that I think that Rooke made the right decision. The home you have is not always the one you were born to, and your family is not always tied by blood. There...I would've stayed myself. That, and personally, it gave me hope. For a long while, I'd read things, but not particularly had a experience myself. This...Granite, Mystery, Smee, Ojo...I felt the pain. I cried each time. And it personally gave, reminded me that I am still capable of feeling. Like that. I often hide away, and as little as I'll let on, even to myself...
Well, suffice to say that this made me happy. I thank you deeply for this. It gave me hope in more ways than one. And I really do need that every so often.
The simple word does not convey my feelings in full, but...thanks. My sincerest gratitude.

I love how Sam and Kindle named one of their sons Granite <3

Also, Sam, Scout and Donovan are my favorites throughout this comic!

Great nuzlocke comic! :D Very inspirational, I'm busy preparing mine at the moment (defeated Elite 4 but not drawn anything yet). Your characters and story line were the best I've read yet. Thank you!

I have to say this was such a fantastic comic. I think I cried four times in, new record. Mystery, when Sam almost died, when Granite died and when Rooke was trying to say farewell. I absolutely loved your storytelling and am so happy there's a happy ending. Sure depressing endings are alright...but happy endings feel great. I feel like this story is 100% complete. Thank you for making it, I am so happy to have found and read it. XD

Oh boy oh boy, this was beautiful written. You have a knack for creating characters and their so rich in development. It's a little late but congratulation on getting this comic done and props to the people that helped draw the backgrounds on some of the pages.

Jeez this comic has to be THE BEST Nuzlocke comic I have ever read. I felt overjoyed at times, totally depressed at times, and utterly terrified at times. It's just amazing! Also this is the first Nuzlocke comic that actually made me cry. IT MADE ME CRY!!!! I was totally hooked from the beginning and this made me want to start my own Nuzlocke adventure on my Pokemon Y game. Amazing comic and can't wait to see more of your art! :)

My friend introduced me to this, saying it's a really good comic. But, she wasn't exactly right, it's the best Nuzlocke comic I've ever read. I have no regrets. It's just perfect. Deaths weren't common, so when it did happen, which might I add was rather far into the story, it hurt. It brought emotion. I felt like I knew everyone, so you did a good job at that. However, I also hate that you did that because I'd get emotional when someone does or almost die. Kinda brought on this thought that he/she might not be here this next page, which is amazing. It's always good to have that in a nuzlocke.

You did a fantastic job. Great ending. Great Story. Great everything. Thank you for making such a wonderful webcomic.

All I can say is this was a really good nuzlocke. The ending was bittersweet, but was prefect. I almost cried reading the ending, I give you an applause for a story and a nuzlocke well done.

PokeSpeBanette Featured By Owner Mar 31, 2014  Hobbyist Writer
ok, this is officially the top nuzlocke i've seen so far. i swear to god, this actually is.

let's see....

i've got loads. kit's nuzlockes, which are all in the same story so they all count as second place. then nix's nuzlocke in second, and some others.

but this? the top. number one, completely. the storyline was amazing, thought out well, and the style was probably one of the simplest, but best ones i've seen so far. linking death with some of the storyline was an amazing thing, something most people could never actually do.

i swear, i will read this over and over.

I'm be a lying son of a gun if I said I didn't cry.

I saw in the comments you mentioned that's the career you plan to take is in the storytelling business, and that is a fantastic goal, and one you will excel at because you have a true gift for storytelling. This is the only Pokémon comic I have ever gotten so invested in. As the reader you actually CARE about these characters. Just- dang, this was such a good read. Now I need to read Twin Kingdoms. And I look forward to any comic you start after that.

I'm not sure if you've said you're going to or not, but will you ever make a comic to be printed off in physical form? That's is a really good site for printing your own comic. u3u I would buy any comic you made available in physical form in an instant. ^^

DragonwolfRooke Featured By Owner Mar 3, 2014  Hobbyist Filmographer
Thanks so much! It makes me happy to see folks enjoying the stories I tell. :) and it amazes me that artists whose work I admired and considered "famous" when I was 16 are discovering and liking my work now. Trippy. XD

I do intend to make all my stories, in the future, printable. At the very least for convenience when compiling a printed copy. XD I have a few graphic novel ideas ruminating, for when I get back from my mission. But in the meantime, I actually have had my comics printed. I used - their prices are really fair, unless you try to get a fully colored printed comic. XD So I had NuzRooke printed in 7 small volumes in grayscale. They turned out looking nice, all things considered, but I'll definitely look into that kablam website for printing in the future. Lulu is great for novels and things like that, but comics seem to stretch its limits. If kablam is better at that, then that'd be awesome. Thanks!
Twin Kingdoms was written expressly to be a graphic novel, and is also up for purchase there as well. You can find any of 'em by searching, I think.
