Misfits 5 - Partners in Crime

We left Floaroama behind and headed towards Eterna. The sun was setting by the time we could see the dense Eterna Forest ahead of us - and night had fallen, thick and dark, as we set into the trees. We could see well enough from the light on Mo's tail. The shadows cast by the flames did little to reassure me, though - Mo kept close beside me, and Rudder stayed on my other side. Sir Calvin walked ahead, with Gilly flying about curiously, zipping around to investigate every sound or interesting sight.

Then I felt something soft touch my shoulder, and a hoarse voice whispered, "They're coming for you."

"YAAAAAAHHH!"

Mo and I jumped out of our skins, and all of Rudder's fur stood on end, making him look even vaster than usually. I whipped around - and a Misdreavus was rolling on the air, laughing his head off.

I threw a Pokeball, and thus caught Spirit. Level 11, Naughty Nature, Alert to Sounds.

Immediately Gilly congratulated him on his prank. Within moments the two of them were thick as thieves, discussing jokes and prank they could play, or relating their favorites. Spirit was a sneaky little scrap of a ghost, quick-witted and eager for a laugh. Mo was uncertain about him - especially when Gilly was telling Spirit her favorite "Mo" related jokes, and Rudder thought he was a puzzle. Sir Calvin was, of course, less than thrilled with the new teammember.

"Miscreants," He muttered. "Commoners and peasants, the lot! Will I never get a Pokemon of high quality on my team?"

I kind of liked Spirit, myself. I was glad that Gilly had made a friend too, since she didn't seem to seek friendship with Mo or Rudder, and Sir Calvin thought she was crude. That, and Spirit gave us some very good advice to quit the forest as soon as we could and go back to Floaroama.

"You'll want to go through the forest in the daytime." He snickered. "Night's not the time for you corporeal folks to be out and about, if you catch my drift."

So, we willingly left the forest and returned to town.
