Misfits 32 - Redrought

We set about training Remus, but pretty quickly we ran into a problem. I knew we needed to visit Canalave to fix Remus's moveset, and we needed to go to Pastoria to teach him new moves, and we needed to train him near Sunyshore...there were too many places that we couldn't fly to anymore. We had to just bike, but that took at least a week between trips. That was far too slow going, and it was wasting valuable training time.

So...I wrote a letter to a friend.

Star is an old friend of mine, a friend of the family. She was Champion, briefly, but she gave up the Championship to Cynthia a few years ago, in order to travel the world. She'd caught all sorts of Pokemon. She was the one who inspired me to go on my journey.

Anyway, I asked her if she could lend me a Flying type. Not to fight with, since I knew that wouldn't be allowed for an official league challenge match. Not using a previous Champion's Pokemon, no. But Star was pleased to lend me a Pokemon, much to my gratitude. She sent him to me through the PC trade system - I sent her a Bronzor, named Shadow, that I had caught a while back.

So I withdrew the Pokemon she sent him, and let him out - and it was an enormous stone dragon.

His name was Redrought, and he was an Aerodactyl. He's actually...quite adorable. I taught him Fly. He's a sweetheart, very young for his size. He's a little younger than Remus, who took an immediate shine to him, especially since Red was here to help Remus train.

Redrought's my new flier, then, so I can train Remus fully now. And once he's trained, and the others too...it'll be on to the Elite 4.

(So yeah, I gave up not flying everywhere. It was too annoying. So I traded Redrought here over from my Diamond game. He's only level 5, the little cutie. I won't be training him at all, just using him as my transportation. On to actually training Remus!
