Description

EDIT Added the title for you guys, as a tiny clue. So that stuff written at the top is translated to "Stand Alone and Always Same." ;) Have fun!

This was fun. :)

So, in the world of the onowin and vallock and whatnot that I'm building, there's a race called the lucari. To themselves, they are called the shii. Funny story there. Anyway, they speak the common tongue of their world (english, for my simplicity) but they speak a changed version of it, and have their own alphabet and stuff.

Basically this is a coded script. :)

I came up with the lucari script last night, and so I wanted to take it for a spin. I wrote a poem, transcribed it into lucari, and then illustrated it similarly to how I imagine a lucari artisan would. Lucari are really big on artisan crafts, tradesmen and artists, so poets are really big around there. In this sort of poem, the artist writes the poem, provides simple illustrations related to it, and then sign it with their name and their paw print.

So it was fun. Here's a challenge for you guys, though - who thinks they can translate it? :3 It IS English, in a form, but it's not a literal translation of the alphabet. There isn't a A = this symbol, B = this symbol, etc. Because of the lucari's dialect, there are certain sounds that are pronounced differently, like in other foreign languages. For instance, how we pronounce "R" and "L" as two separate letters, but to the Japanese they're the same. There are a few like that in lucari script. Also, the punctuation is relatively the same - those little diamonds are periods, you can figure it out from there. Pretty simple. It's also a phonetic language, so take that as you will.

The poem is actual words, and it IS a rhyming poem.

See if you guys can translate it, and send me a note with the completed poem written in it in English. As close as you can get, at least. Just because I'm feeling silly, if you manage to translate it with no other hints, then I will give you a free commission. So I'll paint your character for free. :)

In a few weeks or so, whenever, I'll probably post the title to give you guys a clue. And eventually I'll post the translation in the description here. But for now, have fun!
