As for the fact that he's small, a normal Geodude is what, slightly bigger than a basketball? Granite here is...wow, really small. He's about a foot in diameter. Partly that's because he's young (level 2 is the youngest you can encounter any Pokemon wild, after all) and also because he's a runt of a Geodude. Makes him awfully cute, though. He'll get bigger as the comic progresses, of course, as he reaches full grown size for a Geodude.
